What's new in Power PPM?

Power PPM is your end-to-end strategic PMO solution, built on the Microsoft Power Platform. Power PPM is designed to give organizations an overview of their initiatives, programs, and portfolios, as well as handle risk management, stakeholder engagement, financials, and more.

• Improved out of the box experience
• Access configuration based on permission: Admins and Super Users can access and edit configurations.

Preview features

• Search Bar: search for any work element in roadmap, either by name or ID. Search and select from the list and locate it easily.
• Easier cross-tool work experience: You can now multiselect & copy paste tasks in the Power Gantt. It’s also possible to copy to and from Excel and Microsoft Projects.
• Gantt Markers: the project manager can configure markers in the time line, such as gates or key milestones. It can also be program milestones that can be synched down to the project manager to streamline which dates are important across the organization.
• Auto-scheduling cross project dependencies: When managing dependencies across projects or programs, rescheduling a dependent task or project will now bring up the possibility to automatically reschedule any dependents tasks.

Team Planner: Resource Management

Team Planner is your efficient resource demand management solution that provides a clear overview and actionable insights into resource allocation.

New features:

• Performance optimization: Improved efficiency, usability, and maintainability
• New landing page with improved navigation that can be customized to specific users
• Better filtering on resources and projects
• Easier to extend TP functionality to external systems with our Autonumber Look Up feature.
• Better overview with customized grouping – group your projects and resources according to custom parameters.

Time for Teams: Time Tracking and Management

Time for Teams is the user-friendly time-registering solution that integrates with your Microsoft Team Platform. With good time registration software you can create reports and get insights into work patterns.

In this wave, we’ve updated

• Language support: Time for Teams can now be translated to specific languages.
• Better integration: when tracking time on an unassigned task, you can configure Time for Teams to automatically create an assignment in Power PPM and add the actuals to that assignment.
• Improved performance and stability

Power Hub: Data Management

Power Hub is a data management platform designed for enterprise analytics. It sets you up for reporting, advanced analytics, snapshots, and historical trends. It's unique because it lets you generate a snapshot of your data from any current or past point in time.

• New restore options and status overview: We’ve made it faster and easier to restore projects and get an overview of changes. Power Hub automatically locates the project and all its associated data and restores it. You have more options and Power Hub automatically gives you an overview of any changes made while restoring – you can filter on changes and export to Excel to make sure your projects are exactly how you like them.
• hResource syncronization: You can now use Power PPM as a central master data tool for resources that can be synchronized to other solutions, such as Time for Teams or Team Planner. because you can synchronize Microsoft Entra group into a Dataverse table. This version allows mapping to a custom Dataverse table and columns.

What If: Portfolio Simulation and scenarios

What If is our Portfolio simulation tool that allows you to balance portfolios according to budget, strategy, and resources.

In this release, we’ve included new options for simulating on your portfolio.

- Baseline your scenario and compare against what the future of your portfolio might look like. Baselines will be saved unless you decide its time to update to the current view in Power PPM.
